Covid-19 was first diagnosed in the United States on January 20, 2020. In just three years from January 2020 - 2023, we have tragically lost over a million children, parents, friends, and spouses.

A record of those lives lost to the Covid-19 virus, "three" memorializes each individual with a spiral referencing life's cycles.

The work is comprised of more than one hundred Japanese Unryu rice paper scrolls measuring 11" x 60" stitched with multiple threads. This is an ongoing project, spanning many years.

This piece is born from anger and profound sadness for the negligent and inept responses of some fellow Americans and leaders, for the impact its had on all our lives, and the inconsolable loss of life
